Introduction
A sophisticated timepiece that epitomizes Tudor's commitment to both elegance and functionality, the Tudor Advisor ref. 7926 was introduced in 1957 as an alarm wristwatch that would remind its wearer of whatever upcoming appointment, meeting or other such event they had that day. Boasting a sleek stainless steel case on an Oyster bracelet and with a polished steel bezel, the Advisor’s most notable construction detail is the use of dual crowns, as its alarm function is not set or wound through the same crown that winds and sets its time-keeping functions. Fitted with a simple sunburst silver dial adorned with applied hour markers, the Advisor’s display highlights its alarm function’s distinctive red hand that adds a touch of flair to its design. Produced until 1968, the Advisor showcases Tudor’s mission to produce no-frills timepieces for the everyday man who needed a reliable watch to perform its function while managing the rough and tumble of everyday life.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
Watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case has some light scratches and tiny nicks, most notably on the polished bezel, as expected of a watch of this vintage. The case back has some light scratches, and both crowns remain very well defined. The dial is excellent, with intact lume plots and some light oxidation on a few of the applied hour markers. The hands are very clean. It is fitted with a five-link Oyster bracelet, showing surface scuffs and light play between the links. The bracelet has 12 links and fits approximately a 7 1/4” wrist. Please note that the watch ticks at time of cataloging, but timekeeping is poor and a service is recommended.
Our Perspective
Sharing Tudor's vision as a practical tool watch that doesn't use distracting design details to hide what it is really about, the Advisor Alarm is a physically loud timepiece with a quietly understated design.
